The grounds are beautiful, providing plenty of space for the kids to explore. Our room was spacious and came with all the rustic charm you'd expect from an antique-filled mansion. Breakfast was delicious, making it a lovely start to our days.
In my wife’s opinion, having a bathtub without a plug was a bit frustrating.

I loved the spacious room with direct access to the lovely garden, which was a serene retreat. The staff’s attentiveness, as they were always there to help us and offer tips for exploring the area.

The gardens offer a quiet retreat, nicely maintained and lush, creating an inviting atmosphere. The antique furniture adds character to the hotel's charm, making the space feel a bit like stepping back in time.
Rooms are definitely in need of an upgrade. the decor is quite outdated, with some bathrooms showing signs of wear like water stains and chipped ceramics. Additionally, noise from the nearby highway is noticeable, especially if your room is facing the front, which can disrupt the tranquility of your stay.

what a disappointment! the room was tired decor wise, and i didn't see an upgrade or a welcome gift, you know, as i am the only one here. just couldn't bring myself to give a good review, though!

A charming stay with exceptional service
I had an amazing experience at this charming little place! The gardens were well-maintained and provided a peaceful retreat, and my room felt like a delightful blend of vintage elegance and comfort. The staff was genuinely helpful, even preparing takeaway breakfasts for my early tours, which I really appreciated after a long trek. The only downside was the mild language barrier with the staff, but it didn’t hinder my overall enjoyment of my stay.

I had a great time staying at Las Mercedes! The staff were incredibly accommodating and even offered to wake up early to serve me breakfast. The rooms were comfortable, and I especially enjoyed the tranquil environment with beautiful gardens. Plus, being a short 10-minute walk from the Plaza de Armas made exploring the city so easy.
The room decor was a bit dated.

The charming atmosphere and well-maintained gardens created a serene retreat, making my stay truly enjoyable. The breakfast was a highlight, featuring local grilled meats, adding a delightful touch to my morning routine. However, the room showed signs of wear, with some furnishings feeling a bit shabby and dusty, and the language barrier with the staff made communication challenging at times. The location was decent, being a short stroll from the main square, but the surrounding area didn’t offer much in terms of dining options.
